This mask has a thick texture and feels right on the skin once dry, If you're making it for a combination skin, reduce the amount of clay. you can decrease the amount of sea clay to 28g . The less clay the longer it takes too dry on skin.
For sensitive skin, tea tree essential oil on skin can be irritating, so leave out or substitute if you are concerned.
Four 226g bail jars
21.4 oz. Distilled Water
606 grams distilled water
368 grams avocado oil
28 g Polawax
22 grams BTMS-50
113 grams kaolin clay
113 grans sea clay
2 mL tea tree essential oil
14 grams ginseng extract
5 grams Optiphen

NB: must ensure no germs, bacteria etc. Method: Disinfect your tools (mixing containers, stick blender, spoons, spatulas.) by saturating in 5% bleach water solution. Let air dry.
1. Add the kaolin clay and sea clay together into one container.
2.combine your hazelnut oil, avocado oil and BTMS-50 plus Polawax into another heat safe container. Udsr a heat safe container. Put in microwave until waxes have melted. 30 seconds bursts iOS best. Remove container carefully from microwave - hot.
3.In a large third container, heat the distilled water in the microwave or on the stove until it reaches 70-76 degrees C. Some of the water might evaporate so ensure you have the 600 grams of water. add more distilled water if necessary. Stir and ensure there are no bubbles.
4. check that the container that has your oils in it is also at 70-76 degrees C. You may need to pop it back in the microwave.
5.Mix together the contents of your oil container with the water container now. Use a spatula, ensuring no oil is left behind. Use the stick blender , pulsing. As the water and oils mix, the mixture will appear cloudy. Continue to blend.
6. Add the clay mixture, spo0on by spoon to your mixture until it is all added, and use the stick blender. Blend for another two minutes, ensuring there is no clay stuck to the sides.
7. Check the temperature and when its 55-60 degrees C, its time to add the Optiphen, rose Absolute and chamomile extract. Use the stick blender again.
8. Thats it, its time to pour the mixture into the jars. If there are bubbles sitting pin top once poured, you can sprite them with 99 percent isopropyl alcohol if ist bothers you. Leave the lids open to allow the mixture to cool, no condensation.
9. Once the mixture has cooled, it will be thick and like a lotion. There may be a lay of skin on top which you can mix in.
To use: apply to dry, clean skin. keep away from eyes. Leave the mask on for approximately ten minutes. rinse with warm water. For dry skin only use once every 7 days.
shelf life is 3-6 months before oils go rancid . store in a cool dry place or in the fridge.
